Ol Pejeta Conservancy adds a distinct conservation story to a classic Kenya itinerary.
Located north of Nairobi near Nanyuki, it combines open-country game viewing with some of
Kenya’s best-known rhino protection work.
Why spend two nights?
Two nights create time for an arrival game drive, a slower morning at the lodge, and a second
afternoon drive. That rhythm is more comfortable than rushing through the conservancy as a
single stop between Nairobi and the Rift Valley.
Wildlife and conservation
Travelers may see rhinos, elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, antelopes, and predators. Sightings
are never guaranteed, but experienced guides use tracks, recent reports, weather, and animal
behavior to shape each drive.
Suggested daily rhythm
- Arrive around lunch and settle into the lodge
- Enjoy afternoon tea before a short game drive
- Use the next morning to rest and enjoy the property
- Return to the conservancy for a longer afternoon drive
What to pack
Bring neutral layers, sun protection, binoculars, closed shoes, and a camera with spare
batteries. Mornings and evenings can feel cooler than Nairobi or the coast.
Fees
The supplied 2026 itinerary lists Ol Pejeta Conservancy fees at USD 110 per person per
24 hours. Fees can change and are reconfirmed before booking.
Ol Pejeta is included in the
Classic 7-Day Kenya Safari.
